Oomen Farms

Our first Ontario farm customer has officially gone solar! Paul Oomen, owner of a pig farm in Ontario, installed a NOREASTER 8 (80 kW) system to help offset his farm’s energy needs. Paul first connected with The Smart Energy Company at the 2024 London Farm Show, where the idea of solar piqued his interest. Fast forward one year, and he’s now generating his own clean, renewable energy—right from his farm.

When we asked Paul how the system’s been working for him, his response:

“I’m making feed. Bin fans on, consuming as much as possible—and still turning the meter backwards.”
