New Meadow Farm

Cultivating Sustainability with Solar Power

Paul McConkey is the proud owner of New Meadow Farm, a long-standing egg farm in Towerhill, New Brunswick, with a rich 5th generation history. In a significant move towards sustainability, the family recently introduced a 20kw NOREASTER solar farm on their property, opting for the user-friendly In-A-Box system, installed by the family themselves. This pilot program represents a first step towards a greener future, as the McConkey family intends to expand their solar efforts in the future, both for the benefit of upcoming generations and to contribute positively to the environment.

Egg Farmers of New Brunswick is excited to celebrate New Meadow Farm’s leadership in reducing their carbon footprint as the first New Brunswick egg farmer to install a NOREASTER commercial solar farm. This initiative supports our sector’s longstanding work in the area of environmental sustainability and is another step towards Egg Farmers of Canada’s commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
