100kW NOREASTER®

February 2021

An Investment In The Future

The 100kW NOREASTER® solar array at the newly constructed, state-of-the-art Day & Ross trucking terminal at 651 Frenette Avenue in Moncton, NB is the largest net-metered solar installation in Atlantic Canada.

In addition to providing thousands in utility bill savings, the Canadian-made NOREASTER® solar array will offset 34.5 tons of equivalent CO2 emissions every year, which equates to 3.2 Hectares of carbon absorbing forest. The Smart Energy Company™ is pleased to have assisted Day & Ross in achieving this major milestone to reach their larger sustainability goals and demonstrate the positive trajectory of investing in renewable energy.

“This solar investment is really a testament to Day & Ross building for the future. Starting with our Moncton facility, our new terminals across North America will incorporate many of the latest safety and environmental designs.”
— Kevin Chase, Chief Financial Officer, Day & Ross
The Smart Energy Company completed the project on time and to our satisfaction. We have been impressed with how they have adapted to working during this pandemic and have provided great overall project management and guidance. They have helped improve our understanding of renewable systems as this solar installation in Moncton is a key step in our larger Day & Ross sustainability strategy.
— Kevin Chase, Chief Financial Officer, Day & Ross
