Eco-Friendly Potato Farm goes 100% Solar Powered
Famous for their signature line of potatoes, Eco Spuds™, Timber River Eco Farms is a family-owned and operated farm located on the New Brunswick side of the beautiful Northumberland Strait. Timber River’s values are all about supporting local and producing potatoes through sustainable and ecological practices.
In 2021, Timber River went live with its first 18kW solar system as a pilot project to produce 40% of the farm’s electricity. Seeing the satisfaction and how integral solar has been to their operations, Timber River decided to add on another 32kW In-A-Box NOREASTER® system, making the farm operate 100% on solar energy.
